Police are searching for multiple suspects who gunned down a Toronto man last week. The entire event was recorded by a security camera.
Last Thursday at approximately 2:54 a.m. security cameras captured 33-year-old Anthony Soares being gunned down by two assailants. Soares had just been dropped off by a friend and was waiting in a building lobby to be buzzed in.
Without any warning, two men come out of nowhere on the left side of the screen and open fire on Soares with semi-automatic pistols. It appears that both men empty their magazines through the glass. Both of them continue firing even after Soares collapses on the ground.
One man opens the door, quickly wipes away his finger prints, and puts one more round into Soares.
Soares was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Toronto Police Homicide detective Sgt. Gary Giroux stated that Soares is a good friend of the rapper Drake and that the murder “was very targeted. It was very focused. Certainly, it was overkill.”
