After stopping a Starbucks from being robbed by a man with a knife in a Transformers mask, Craig Jerri is now being sued by the suspect.

In July of 2017 a viral video was making its way around the internet. The video showed a man in a Transformers mask attempting to rob a Starbucks armed with a knife. It didn’t take long for Craig Jerri, 58, to step in and strike the robber with a metal chair in an attempt to protect the people inside of the establishment. In the fight that followed, Jerri was stabbed in the neck before he was able to gain control of the knife. He then stabbed Ryan Flores, the suspect, a number of times until he stopped being a threat.

Now, while Flores sits in jail, he is planning to sue Jerri for excessive use of force. According to his mother, Pamela Chimienti, Flores is the real victim in this situation because “He has 17 total stab wounds, lacerations, and defensive wounds. The guy, in my opinion, went from a good Samaritan to a vigilante. Stabbing somebody that many times, it doesn’t take that many stab wounds to get somebody to succumb to you.” What do you think?

According to Chief Jerry Dyer, there are no charges against Jerri. He also stated that the idea that the suspect would sue the man is ludicrous. His department called Jerri a hero after the incident. Flores is expected to appear in court in October. Here is the video of the attack, what are your thoughts? Is the suspect right for suing the good Samaritan, or is this another example of bad guys playing victim.
