Newly released footage shows an armed robber in Seattle shooting at police after leading them on a high speed chase.
In January of this year, 29-year-old Diondrae Brown brandished a hand gun at another man and stole his cell phone. He fled the scene in a silver Volkswagen Jetta and was located by two Seattle Police officers. As soon as the officers initiate a traffic stop, Brown speeds off.
Seattle police keep the chase up for almost two minutes, speeding through busy streets and construction zones. At one point Brown runs into an unoccupied vehicle and slows down.
Brown drives for a few hundred more yards before stopping his vehicle on a hill. He hops out and fires one shot at the officers before fleeing on foot.
Neither officer in the pursuit returns fire.
The officers chase after Brown on foot and eventually arrest him without further incident. Brown is now under investigation for two bank robberies and three other commercial robberies.
