A former NFL defensive end for the Denver Broncos leads police officers on a dangerous chase after robbing a cell phone store with a firearm.

Former defensive end for the Denver Broncos, Quanterus Smith, is facing charges of armed robbery, theft, and fleeing police after he crashed his vehicle during a high speed pursuit. He, and two other men, stole iPhones from an AT&T at gun point, and then lead officers from Douglas County in a pursuit that lasted just under a few minutes due to the officers conducting a PIT maneuver, and forcing the vehicle off of the road and into a tree. No one was injured in the incident. All three men were denied bond during a court appearance.

Smith attended Grayson High School in Loganville and went to college at Western Kentucky University. He was drafted in the fifth round by the Denver Broncos and played in 15 games before being released.
