There were three shootings in eight hours in Myrtle Beach, SC. One shooting was live-streamed on Facebook.

Bubba Henson, a volunteer firefighter, was in Myrtle Beach with his family on vacation. He was relaxing on the balcony of his hotel room Sunday morning when a crowd gathered in the streets below. Henson whipped out his phone and starting filming, not knowing that he was about to capture a gun battle.

The video starts with the crowd walking down a sidewalk and blocking cars. A few of the people in the crowd start fighting. Suddenly one of them pulls out a gun and fires several shots into the crowd.

A nearby armed security guard sees the whole incident and opens fire on the shooter. The suspect returns fire at the security guard then carjacks someone in the parking lot.

Fortunately, officers were already en route when the shooting started. The suspect was captured. The security guard’s leg was grazed by a round. No officers were injured, but one patrol car took a few rounds.

A total of 7 people were hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries.

I won’t be taking my family to dirty Myrtle anytime soon.
