A 10 year old boy stole his father’s car and led police on a chase that reached speed of over 100 mph.
Reports state that a passerby spotted a Toyota Avalon swerving across interstate 90 and called 911. Westlake police officers followed the car for 15 miles, reaching speeds of over 100 mph. After the car drove through a toll booth, four Ohio State Troopers joined the chase. Little did the officers know, the car was being driven by a 10 year old boy.
Officers threw out stop sticks and the boy swerved around them into the grass. An Ohio Trooper finally ended the chase by pushing the car into a sign. Video shows troopers swarm the car and pull the boy out.
The boy kicked one trooper in the chin and spit in another’s face as he was being arrested. He later told police that he did it because he was bored.
This is the second time in two weeks he has stolen a parent’s car and taken it on a joyride. He has been charged with fleeing and eluding, a third-degree felony.
